peas

Gavin is undoubtedly a fan of peas. Or at least, of the cooked, unsmushed variety -- he is definitely not fond of the pureed kind. But the whole peas? The boy voraciously consumed nearly a quarter of what I prepared for my own lunch today. I've been hesitant to give him anything with a skin like peas and beans because of the potential for choking. Those skins can be tricky. But today he was tugging and pulling on me endlessly while I tried to eat my lunch, so in an attempt to placate him I gave him a pea. Which he ate. And which he loved. So I gave him more and more and more and... he loves peas. End of story.

Lol! Jack loves peas too! He'd live on them if I let him! Also, I wanted to tell you to check his diapers for the pea skins. I always find the grape skins and pea skins in his diaper. I guess the little guys can't digest that stuff.

Justin's a huge pea fan as well. :-) When Gavin gets a little older, see if he likes them frozen. Justin eats frozen peas like they're candy! LOL!

I'm glad he likes peas. His grandpa also likes peas...but not the mushy kind. In fact, it is one of the few vegetables that Alan will eat!

Love to all three of you.

Amy, as a matter of fact I did find the skins in his diaper today - twice! He'll go days without a dirty then twice in one day. Wahoo ;)

Mmm frozen peas... I remember my mom giving those to us when we were kids. That and frozen corn. Yummy stuff.

At least Alan eats some kind of veggie! :-)

Lol, the skins will show up in Jack's diaper numerous times over a few days and then they'll finally stop. Expecially with grapes. I cut them into 4 pieces and he eats them, but then, since there's 4 skins for every grape, there's like a dozen in every diaper for like 3 days, lol.
