Hey I've been passed the musical baton by Mark! Here goes...
1. Total volume of music files on my computer
5.68 GB, an unkown number of tracks. If I had to guess based on the number of CDs (it dates me that my first impulse is to call them "albums" doesn't it?) I'd say somewhere around 2000 tracks. Unlike Mark, I can't say I own all of the CDs, though very few of the songs I have were downloaded.
2. The last CD I bought was:
I can't even remember the last CD I bought. I think it might have been (the? an?) Evanescence CD, which I bought on a recommendation from a friend (Hollie I think?) and loved.
3. Song playing right now
Nothing. Gavin's napping so no music upstairs in the office.
4. Five songs I listen to a lot, or that mean a lot to me
- Solisbury Hill by Peter Gabriel
- The Summons (also called Will You Come and Follow Me), don't know who wrote it
- Time in a Bottle by Jim Croce
- Us by Peter Gabriel (the whole CD)
- Rhythm of the Saints by Paul Simon (another whole CD)
The last two are cheating a bit, but I see both CDs as whole pieces rather than individual songs brought together in one place. Both CDs are extraordinarily special to me and I can't pick just one song from either!
5. Five people to whom I’m passing the baton
Debbie
Emma
April
Stefani
Lisa
Okay, I'll bite:
1. Total volume of music files on my computer:
None that I know of...unless left there by the previous owner of this computer (the one who passed me this Musical Baton, Allie). I use dial-up so downloading such extravagances as music just doesn’t happen.
2.The last CD I bought was:
I can’t remember, but it was probably Veggie Tales, and at that it’s been a few years. I may have gotten a couple here and there at a garage sale, but mostly I get my music from the library. It’s returned before it sounds stale.
3. Song playing right now:
Nothing! Both kids are asleep, as I should also be…
4. Five songs I listen to a lot, or that mean a lot to me:
It changes pretty frequently, but lately I would say…
Blessed Be (Tree-53),
God Alone (Mercy Me/S.C.Chapman),
Starkindler (entire album minus one not-so-great song, by Michael Card),
Perfect Union (Michael Card) – sentimental favorite ,
Next 30 Years (forget the singer, but it’s just a little appropriate right now)
