Just wanted to post and say we're still here. No baby yet, just in case anyone was worried. Baby will be soon, though. Soon as in sometime in the next 3 weeks or so.
I'm feeling ok these days, really well considering being nine months pregnant. I'm super tired again, almost like during the first trimester, only I am not getting as many naps as I was then.
Had our home visit last week and went through the birth supplies with the midwives. Also last week I got all the things we need for the birth pool, only when we went to do a test run on the pool we found the pumps we have don't fit. Just today an acquaintance dropped off a pump that will work, so now we have to find time to do a test run of inflating and filling the pool to see how long it takes and how everything works. But at least we have everything we need, even if we don't get to do a test run.
Over the weekend we started a hypnobirthing class, which is being taught by a friend from the local birthworkers group I'm part of. The doula client I had in October used hypnobirthing and I was so impressed by how quiet and calm her birth was, my friend (who I co-doula-ed that birth with and who is my doula now.. follow that??) suggested I take the class. It's very last mintue and there's a chance we won't make it to the end of the class, but it's interesting stuff just the same.
Here's a Gavin funny, which I just remembered. The other night I was laying with Gavin while he fell asleep. He was babbling and talking to himself as he wound down and got sleepy. Part of his stream of babble went like this: "I'm an egg.... I'm an egg to cook.... I'm an egg to crack and put in a pan to cook." So there you have it, Gavin's an egg.
Posted by allison at January 10, 2007 10:20 AMHmmm. Interesting thing for Gavin to think about. I woder where he came up with that one?
Does he know about Humpty Dumpty?
Posted by: Grandpa at January 11, 2007 03:04 PMWe have no idea! He knows the humpty dumpty story, but hasn't heard it in some time. Jason said a couple nights after that Gavin was talking similar nonsense stuff, so maybe it's just his brain's way of decompressing...?
