At 7 weeks and a couple days, Dermot has smiled at last. And we got it on camera the same day. The wait was long but so worth it, don't you think?

Dermot is growing! Not at the pace set by his older brother (1 lb / week for the first 8 weeks) but at a respectable pace just the same. He's averaging a very normal half pound a week growth. At my six week visit with the midwives, we weighed him, fully clothed, and he was 12 lbs 13 oz. Jason and I measured his length a few nights ago, and figure he's around 22-22.5 inches.
